Grade Appeal checks a test your teacher has already marked. Knowie looks for points that may have been missed and shows you what to say when you ask your teacher about them.
Check a test
- Open the AI chat and open the menu.
- Tap Grade Appeal.
- Tap Scan your test.
- Photograph every page, with the teacher's marks visible. You can also choose photos from your gallery. You can add up to 12 pages.
- Wait while Knowie checks the test. This takes about a minute.
Your result
- If Knowie finds points, you see how many and, for each question, a Say this box with a suggestion for your teacher. If the paper shows a grade scale, you also see the grade you could end up with.
- Your marking looks fair means Knowie found no points to claim back.
- I can't see any marking means the photos show no teacher's marks. Scan a test that has already been marked.
- I couldn't read every page means some photos were unclear. Try again in good light, with your phone straight above each page.
Knowie's result is a suggestion, not a new grade. Your teacher decides whether to change the mark.
Your checked tests
After your first check, Grade Appeal opens a list of your checked tests. Tap a test to see the result again, or tap Check a new test.
Good to know
- Grade Appeal is in the app only, not on the website.
- It is available to everyone in the US. In other countries some students see it as part of a test. If you do not see Grade Appeal in the menu, your account does not have it yet. You cannot opt in, and support cannot switch it on.
- If you see You've hit your hourly limit, wait a while and try again.
- If you see That didn't work, your photos are kept. Tap Try again.
