The Cell Systems

Cells are the basic units of all living organisms. They form the parts of an organism and carry out all its functions. Think of cells like tiny workers in your body, each with specific jobs to keep you alive!

The discovery of cells happened over centuries with the help of microscopes. In 1663, Robert Hooke first discovered dead cells and coined the term "cells." Later, Anton van Leeuwenhoek observed living microorganisms in 1674. Scientists Matthias Schleiden and Theodore Schwann concluded that all plants and animals are made of cells in the 1830s. Finally, Rudolf Virchow proposed that cells only come from other cells in 1855.

From these discoveries came the Cell Theory, which has three main parts: all living things are made of cells, cells are the basic units of structure and function, and all new cells come from existing cells. This theory is one of the most important ideas in biology!

Fun Fact: The cell theory couldn't have been developed without the microscope. This shows how advances in technology (the application of scientific knowledge) help us make breakthroughs in science (the study of nature)!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
