Long Division

When dividing numbers, long division gives you a clear path to follow. The divisor is the number you're dividing by, the dividend is the number being divided, and the quotient is your answer.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Multiply the divisor by a number to get as close as possible to the first digit(s) of the dividend
  2. Write this number in the quotient (on top)
  3. Subtract and bring down the next digit
  4. Repeat until you get zero or need to use a decimal

Remember This: If your remainder is zero, you're done! If not, you'll need to add decimals.

When dividing smaller numbers by bigger ones (like 3÷4), add a zero and decimal point to the quotient. Continue dividing as normal, adding zeros to the dividend as needed. This gives you a decimal answer like 0.75.

If you notice the same digits repeating in your decimal answer, you can stop dividing and use a repeating decimal sign over those numbers to save time.

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
