Polinom Nedir?

Polinom, kuvvetlerinin doğal sayı olduğu cebirsel ifadelerdir. Mesela P $x$ = x² - 2x + 1 gibi.

Bir polinomda derece en yüksek kuvvet, baş katsayı en yüksek dereceli terimin katsayısıdır. P $x$ = 5x⁵ - 4x⁴ - 3x³ - 2x² + 1 ifadesinde derece 5, baş katsayı da 5'tir.

Polinom olma şartları çok net: Kuvvetler doğal sayı olmalı, paydada x bulunmamalı, köklü ifade olmamalı. Bunları kontrol ettiğinizde kolayca karar verebilirsiniz.

Polinom değer hesaplama çok pratik! P $x$ = x⁷ - 5x⁶ + 4x⁴ - 3x² - 5x - 1 için P(1) hesaplarken x yerine 1 yazıp işlem yapın: P(1) = 1 - 5 + 4 - 3 - 5 - 1 = -9.

P $x+1$ veya P $4x-3$ gibi bileşke fonksiyon sorularında değişken değişimi yapın. P $4x-3$ = 3 + 4x ise P(5) için 4x-3=5 denklemini çözün.

Polinomların dört işlemi normal cebirsel işlemlerle aynı. Toplama-çıkarmada benzer terimleri birleştirin, çarpmada dağıtma özelliğini kullanın.
