Present Continuous - Struttura e Usi
Costruire frasi al present continuous è come seguire una ricetta: basta mettere gli ingredienti giusti nell'ordine corretto. La formula base è sempre soggetto + am/is/are + verbo con -ing.
Per le frasi affermative usi: soggetto + am/is/are + forma in -ing (esempio: "I am studying"). Per le negative aggiungi semplicemente "not": soggetto + am/is/are + not + forma in -ing ("I am not studying").
Le domande funzionano invertendo l'ordine: am/is/are + soggetto + forma in -ing + ? ("Are you studying?"). Per le risposte brevi, puoi dire "Yes, I am" oppure "No, I'm not" - facile no?
Trucco veloce: Ricorda che "am" va solo con "I", "is" con he/she/it, e "are" con you/we/they!
Questo tempo verbale ha due usi principali: descrivere azioni che stanno succedendo proprio ora ("Mary is studying at the moment") oppure parlare di piani futuri già decisi ("They're leaving tomorrow").
