Understanding Microscopes: Essential Components and Features

Parts of a Microscope
A microscope has several important parts that work together. The eyepiece is where you look through to see your specimen. Below that are the objective lenses which come in different powers (4x scanning, 10x low power, and 40x high power) to magnify objects at different levels.
To get your specimen in focus, use the coarse adjustment knob for quick focusing on scanning and low powers. For fine-tuning, especially on high power, use the fine adjustment knob to make your image crystal clear. Remember - only use fine focus on high power!
The stage holds your slides in place with clips, while the diaphragm controls how much light passes through your specimen. More light isn't always better - sometimes adjusting it helps see details more clearly.
Try This! Practice moving between different objective powers. Always start with the scanning power (4x) to find your specimen, then rotate to higher powers for more detail.

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
