# How do I activate Pro for my child with an activation code?

> Enter the activation code in your child's app to connect the subscription to their existing account. Create an account first if they do not have one.

After buying Pro for your child on the website, or receiving a code from a partner, you connect it to your child's Knowunity account.

## Activate the code

1. Make sure your child has a Knowunity account and is signed in to the app with it. Do not create a new account if they already use one.
2. Open the activation link from your confirmation email on the child's device, or enter the code where the app asks for it.
3. Confirm. Pro is active on that account straight away.

## The code is invalid

- Check for typos. Copy the code from the email instead of retyping it.
- A code can only be used once. If it was already activated, open the **Pro** tab on your child's account to confirm Pro is active.
- Codes are limited to a few attempts per hour. Wait and try again.

## I lost the code

The code is in the purchase confirmation email. If you cannot find it, [contact support](https://knowunity.com/support) with the email address you used at checkout and the transaction details.
