# Do I have to add a phone number during setup?

> You can skip the phone-number step during setup. If you want to add your number, check the country code, enter your number and tap Continue.

## You can skip this step

If setup asks **What’s your phone number?**, you can tap **Skip** to carry on without adding one.

## Adding your number

1. Check the country code beside the phone-number field. Tap it to choose a different country if needed.
2. Enter your phone number.
3. Tap **Continue** when the button becomes available.

If you cannot continue, check the country code and the number you entered. You can still use **Skip** to continue setup.

Not every account sees this step. Accounts with child restrictions skip it.
